Identified Services was established in 2014 by Kevin Campion, a former Queensland State of Origin representative and Brisbane Bronco.
Kevin’s structured approach has seen the business grow from humble beginnings, where he rode his pushbike to liaise with clients, into a state-wide, multi-faceted company.
“One of my first commercial cleaning clients was a gym in Currumbin and they must have thought I was a total lunatic rocking up on my pushy,” he said.
“But many of the clients I started with back in 2014 are still with me today, so I must be doing something right.”
Having retired from football in 2004, Kevin completed a diploma of business from James Cook University and was successful in property development and real estate prior to kicking off Identified Services.
With football an integral part of his DNA, Kevin continues to be involved with the New Zealand Warriors, a team close to his heart having had many wins with them in 2001 and 2002.
In March 2022, he was appointed as an Australian Ambassador for the Warriors and is establishing a pathways program for talented young Aussie players to gain the true Warriors experience in New Zealand.
Kevin is also a strong supporter of the Australian Anti Ice Campaign and holds a Mental Health First Aid Certificate working alongside the Royal Flying Doctors Service flying to remote areas and connecting with those living with the condition.
A businessman, an advocate, a footballer, a dad – you wouldn’t think he would have a lot of spare time, but when there is a chance for some R&R, you can catch him on the tennis court or spending valuable time with his children.
The Australian Anti Ice Campaign tackles the issue of ice (crystal methamphetamine) addiction with a focus on getting the message ‘Not Even Once’ out to all young Australians.
The awareness program is run in Queensland schools with ex Ice addicts giving a presentation to students about the dangers associated with using the drug.
Many of the young people becoming addicted to Ice are in small, regional towns of Queensland, and being from a small town himself, Kevin is passionate about the cause.
“In some of these towns, they have to drug test kids as young as 10 before they are allowed to sign on,” he said.
“This campaign exposes kids in a really confronting way to what life on Ice really looks like.
“Then after the presentation, I take them out onto the footy field to kick a ball around and chat about how I was successful in my career because I said ‘no’ to drugs.”
